MLA & AAHSL Recommend Carla Hayden Become Next Librarian of Congress

Today, the Medical Library Association (MLA) and the Association of Academic Health Sciences Libraries (AAHSL) recommended to the Senate Committee on Rules and Administration that Dr. Carla Hayden become the fourteenth Librarian of Congress. MLA President Michelle Kraft, AHIP and AAHSL President Ruth Riley, MS, AHIP addressed Dr. Hayden's 43 years of professional contributions and achievements that make her uniquely qualified to serve as "The Librarian of Congress" for our time. Ms. Kraft and Ms. Riley urged the Senate Committee to recommend that the U.S. Senate confirm Dr. Hayden's nomination.

More information about Dr. Hayden's nomination can be found here.
