As of January 2019, the MLA News was repurposed as MLAConnect and as of January 2017, the MLA News was no longer published in print. 

Journal of the Medical Library Association (JMLA)

JMLA, our peer-reviewed journal, is open access, and the electronic version is free to all through PubMed Central. 

Print Subscriptions: 2023

The Journal of the Medical Library Association (JMLA) will only be available in digital formats starting with the 2023 editions. As of the January 2023 JMLA issue, there will no longer be print versions of JMLA. Instead, we are adding additional digital interactive formats starting with the 2023 editions published on the JMLA website. These will include a compiled set of the issue’s papers in magazine layout available for download, as well as a digital flipbook version.

All 2022 print subscriptions and claims will be fulfilled (issues 1 – 4).

Thank you for your continued support of JMLA and our mission to support a greater global exchange of knowledge by making the research published here open to the public and reusable under Creative Commons.

Request Replacement Issues (Claims)

Missing a print issue? Please submit your request for a replacement to Jim Westwood. Claims must be filed no earlier than three weeks and no later than six months from the publication's month of issue. Because of limited supplies, we cannot fill requests more than six months after the publication date. Please note that there will be no printed copies of JMLA beginning January 2023. 

Older issues of the JMLA may be accessed for free through PubMed Central, and older issues of MLAConnect and the MLA News are available to MLA members on MLANET.
