Addressing Hospital Needs and Goals in the Era of the Affordable Care Act Recorded Webinar for Sites

The Affordable Care Act, meaningful use, and greater scrutiny of not-for-profit status have brought on some significant changes in the way hospitals provide health care. Hospitals must meet specific goals to avoid penalties and receive maximum reimbursement for care. They are repositioning staff and budgets to deal with these changes to improve patient care, increase patient satisfaction, and meet meaningful use of the electronic health record (her) system. Libraries are departments within the hospital, and like all other departments, they must illustrate clearly to administration specifically how they help their hospital achieve these goals. This webinar will look at these changes and how they affect our institutions and how librarians can meet them head on.
