Sunrise Seminar: What's New and Unique in EndNote

Another meeting day and another Sunrise Seminar! This morning's Sunrise Seminar: What's New and Unique in EndNote (Presenter: Doug Nguyen) drew a full room of attendees and lots of questions and comments. Unlike many of the other attendees, I am not a current user of EndNote. I have used EndNote in the past, however it was many years ago and was fairly limited use. I was very interested to hear about the features and updates available in EndNote X8 (including the manuscript matcher, library sharing enhancements, and the activity feed) but, for me, the best part of the session was finding out how others are using EndNote. Two different case studies were presented (I am not currently involved with systematic reviews but hearing how others are making use of this product for that is really interesting!) and some of the attendees also offered their comments and experiences. I always appreciate hearing the comments and questions that current users of a product have. There is so much you don't know or don't realize until you actually start using a product and trying different things with it and seeing what works and what doesn't and seeing if you can get it to do whatever you are wanting it to do. I would definitely say that I benefited just as much from the attendee comments and questions during this session as I did from the main presentation itself.
